Position Summary:
As a Senior Account Executive, you are the bridge between groundbreaking ideas and successful client outcomes. Your understanding of strategic insights and relationship-building skills will help elevate brands and drive measurable success. This role is centered around building strong client relationships, translating their needs into strategic deliverables and supporting the client services team in positioning Marriner as a leading marketing communications agency in the food, beverage, and hospitality markets. This position requires both hands-on executional work and emerging strategic thinking to drive client success and agency growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationships & Account Management:
Build and nurture positive client relationships, actively participating in client meetings and project calls.
Gather, consolidate, and communicate feedback to drive satisfaction and secure client trust.
Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, keeping them informed of project developments, timelines, and budget considerations.
Ensure critical deadlines are met and project schedules are closely monitored.
Strategic Planning & Market Research:
Conduct secondary and field market research, analyzing data and insights to inform marketing strategies.
Understand and articulate the purpose behind creative work, its alignment with client goals and its effectiveness against identified KPIs.
Creative Support & Development:
Develop strong, insight-driven creative and project briefs for internal teams.
Brief creative teams concisely and inspire them with client and market knowledge.
Critique creative work strategically, ensuring it meets client expectations and Marriner’s QA standards.
Client & Account Growth:
Spot opportunities for organic growth and collaborate with account leads to support business objectives.
Contribute to pitch work and assist in budget management to achieve revenue goals, as assigned.

Job requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher is required
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
Strong written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills within all levels of an organization
Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Proactive self-starter who is strategically aware
Able to execute marketing campaigns with attention to detail, analyze results, and identify optimizations
Supreme organizational and project management skills
Budding presentation skills with a knack for compelling storytelling
Take great pride in your work by delivering activities with excellence
May require overnight travel up to 10-15%
Preferred Qualifications:
Agency experience or client service-facing role is preferred
Food, beverage, or hospitality industry experience is preferred
Solid understanding of both traditional and digital marketing channels and tactics
